FABLES AND MYTHS:  THE REALMS OF MAGIC AND THE MYHTICAL
Fables are stories which are based on animals, mythical creatures or inanimate objects. Most fables have moral values at the end. There is always a lesson to be learnt. Aesop's Fables are the most common fables which have moral values.

A myth is a story based on tradition or legend, which has a deep symbolic meaning. There is much supernatural and beliefs of greater being in myths. Creatures such as Centaurs, Dragons and Nymphs are said to have existed and these stories have lived and retold over 1000 years.

As for me, I enjoy reading myths rather that fables. I am a fan of Harry Potter and Septemus Heap.Reading the stories in Harry Potter makes me happy and forget about work. The magical happenings in the story, takes me on a journey beyond my imagination. I used to watch Dungeons and Dragons when I was younger and my brother and I used to create scene from the cartoon and play. By reading these types of books, I can relate to my pupils since many of them enjoy reading Harry Potter and Twilight. Teaching English is so much fun as I am able to relate to them. I try my level best to instill the love for reading in my pupils, not just for education/learning purpose but for entertainment and for leisure.
Fables and myths are full of magic and adventure. These stories should be told to children so that they will not disappear entirely. The magic shall live on forever
